Anonymous asked: Why don't you answer the people asking for fics? Well you answer that you don't know then let your followers be the one to look for them. You don't get back to the question and say the fic that your followers found. It's really frustrating because we have to go look at the notes to see what the title of the fic is. Tumblr mobile won't let us see the notes anymore so you should get back to the questions and like put the replies there
I should do a lot of things in my life that I often don’t. It’s a character flaw. I’m a terrible awful person for it, too. And I am so sorry.
When I get an answer from a follower to a fic ask I DO edit the ask with not only the answer, but the link to the fic, which I look up myself sometimes. If I don’t get an answer then I don’t update the ask. Simple. That’s as far as I can go with that. As far as “letting” my followers answer them it’s because I DON’T KNOW, just like I said. Let me make this clear: I’ve never declared this blog as a fic lost and found. I never told people to ask me about what fic is what and where. They just ask. And me, not being an asshole, try to help them out the best I can. I’ve made no mystery to the fact that I can’t remember titles and authors. I often joke about it. I just happen to know people who DO know and are nice enough to tell me so that I can edit the ask with the answer ASAP.
So if you’re looking in the notes for the answer, so am I, and if its in there then it will be noted/edited by me in the ask itself. No need looking in the notes. And if there is an answer in the notes that I didn’t answer with then it wasn’t correct, or I haven’t gotten to it yet. But I don’t expect anyone to have to look through notes for an answer.
On that same note, in order to avoid any further confusion, I’d like to ask anyone who is volunteering fic ask answers to please send it to me in an ask so that I can post it faster. Either way is fine, I’m grateful for the replies! Thanks so much! :)
